I suspect he’d really like to use the third photo, but as I told him, “I don’t think your readers are really going to believe that’s what you look like now, Fred. They’ve seen photos of you through the years, and while you did claim you were showing a ‘lion face’ for one snapshot, a face does not a lion make.”

I vote for the second photo first, with the first photo coming in second. Both excellent, a tough call.

Of course Fred likes the first photo, ’cause it looks like he’s really got muscles. But I agree, the second photo, a bit pensive, would be what you’d expect of a ‘litter rarely’ cat. Fred the Irrepressible, indeed.
