Your schedule changed?

Abishag, I thought you wanted to work on your next book yesterday.

“Can’t you see I’m busy? I’m beating up these packing papers.”

Okaayy. And that got priority.

“I’m the author, or will be, of ALL my books. And when I want to write the next one, I will. I’m a cat. I don’t have to follow a schedule like you hoomans do.”

Well, that’s true. And it is nice to see you playing for a change.

“This isn’t playing. This is serious stuff. Do you see any sign of a Tyrannosaurus Rex out that window?”

No, thank goodness, I don’t.

“Well, who do you think scared them all away with my deadly pouncing and fearless charging?”

Got it. Happy paper beating, Abishag. I love you, kid.

“That’s ‘kit.’ I’m not a hooman.”

I love you, kit.

“And I love you, hooman. Now stand back for the final kill.”

    Perhaps it’s Abishag’s writing prompt. http://www.randystark.com

Hadn’t thought about it until I read your comment, Randy, but the papers may very well be her version of an Anger Management Box. Slim still uses one frequently. Good thing there isn’t a Society for the Prevention of Meanness to Boxes.
