Definitely a watch cat, Pete’s decided one of his duties is to lie on the gate path to keep a close eye on whatever’s going on. He takes his job as a guard very seriously.
He gets up and comes to the gate whenever a car or pickup drives in, and visitors comment they almost literally hear his “Advance and be recognized” order.
Makes you wonder about cats as a whole. How do they know to do these things?
