That’s a week ahead, for a ‘heads up’ folks!

And even if there’s no Petsmart holding an event near you, I’d be willing to bet city or county shelter staff would be thrilled to talk to you and tell you about the animals currently in their temporary care.

Most staff people at these places really want the cats, kittens and yes, dogs too, to find happy forever homes.

So now you have a week to get or make a pet bed, a litter box (a dishpan works well for a kitten or small cat), two bowls (one for water, one for food) and some canned and dry food.

And next weekend, you could find your perfect furry companion! How’s about it?
