Stephen King. Author of (at least) 49 novels, nine short story books, a handful of non-fiction books as well as being considered the American master of horror writing.

And he’s definitely a cat fan in real life. His writings about them, of course, take an odd, even macabre turn.

This is from his ‘Pet Semetary’ (which I have not read in its entirety). “Cats were the gangsters of the animal world, living outside the law and often dying there. There were a great many of them who never grew old by the fire.”

We’ll hope his cat, Clovis, gets to do so.
